Temporary Users

Temporary Users are designed for individuals who need short-term access to the system.

For example, a panel of expert builders may be engaged to author items for a Builders Exam. In this case, temporary accounts such as BuilderOne, BuilderTwo, etc. can be created. These users do not require an email address to log in, and system-generated passwords can be assigned for secure access during the limited engagement period.

Adding a Temporary User

• Go to Admin / Users
• Select Add User

• Enter User Name e.g.: Builder One
• Enter Email address - (this can be fictitious) e.g. [e-mail]
• Click on Temporary User
• Generate Password:

Note:  The temporary user password will be changed each time the Generate is selected.

• Roles: Capture the user role(s)
• User Tags: Capture he User tags
• Restrictions: Capture any user restrictions

Logging in as a Temporary User

1. Enter User Name: e.g. BuilderOne
2. Enter Password generated when adding New User

Terms of Use Message

The first time the Temporary User Logs into Assess.ai a Terms of Use Message will display:

Enter Name and Accept

Note: The user name on Assess.ai will be updated with the User Name.
