Subscription tiers, upgrading, and purchasing

Assess.ai is a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) that is provided in subscription tiers.

What are the tiers?

1. Free

The Free tier is designed to provide sufficient functionality to support a small testing program that either delivers on paper or delivers with an external vendor such as a Certification Services company. 

The following limitations apply to the Free Tier:

•    1 user
•    500 items in the item bank(s)
•    100 examinees in Iteman reports

2. Pro

The Pro tier is intended for organizations that wish to implement professional item banking (deliver on paper or other vendors), or using Assess.ai to deliver online tests.  It removes the limits of 1 user and 500 items, and is instead limited to 3 users.  This makes it a very cost-effective platform for smaller organizations; for example, a Certification run by 3 volunteers is able to leverage the professional item banking and then export items to deliver with a Test Center vendor.

3. Enterprise

The Premium tier is for organizations that desire to implement modern methods like adaptive testing and item response theory, or require additional levels of support.

4. Enterprise Plus

Enterprise contracts are negotiated on a one-by-one basis for special cases.  This includes the Enterprise functionality, but also enables the possibility of custom development, a dedicated Slack channel for support, and other aspects that are an enterprise partnership rather than off-the-shelf SaaS.  If you think you might need this, get in touch with [e-mail]. 

Add-on: Test credits

Test credits are like tokens.  If you deliver an exam to 100 students, it uses up 100 credits.  You pre-purchase credits as packs, with a minimum pack of 500 credits.

Add on: Iteman

Iteman has been a standalone system for psychometric reporting, the industry leader since the 1980s.  It's now available as part of the Assess.ai platform.  Iteman subscriptions will come with Premium and Enterprise subscriptions, or you can purchase Iteman separately as a stand alone module, if that is all you need.

Add on: Remote Proctoring

We integrate with several remote proctoring providers.  These are billed on a pay-as-you-go model (in most cases); if you deliver remote proctored exams in June, the invoice will be generated in July.
